I had a query from a customer who wanted to update their Victorian/Edwardian fireplace
The surround was was a stunner, I could see exactly why they wanted to keep it.
The big problem was the fireplace itself was tiny. So I put my thinking cap on to how I was going to solve this problem to update this fireplace and allow the customer to keep their beautiful Victorian/Edwardian surround.
The stove would have to meet all current day building regulations and as it was being installed in London, it would have to be Defra approved or smoke exempted to meet the strict air quality controls.
Eventually, we found the perfect answer in the form of the tiny Salamander Hobbit multi-fuel Stove
It may be small at just over 18 inches (46.5 cm) tall and just under 12 inches (30.2 cm) wide, but don’t let that fool you, it kicks out a mighty 4kw! Which is amazing for such a small stove.
Take a look at the great result of this Victorian / Edwardian fireplace update.
My client is thrilled with the end result and so was I 😀 👍.
